The Central Planets, thems formed the Alliance, waged war to bring everyone under their rule; a few idiots tried to fight it, among them myself. I’m Malcolm Reynolds, captain of Serenity. She’s a transport ship; Firefly class. Got a good crew: fighters, pilot, mechanic. We even picked up a preacher for some reason, and a bona fide companion. There’s a doctor, too, took his genius sister outta some Alliance camp, so they’re keepin’ a low profile. You understand. You got a job, we can do it, don’t much care what it is.”

Sometimes I write crazy middle of the night notes to myself (I suppose laymen might call this “journaling”) in first person. Sometimes second. Is one more crazy than the other? No idea. Getting it on paper helps me sleep. Though, I feel like I should note, half of these ideas never make it out of the notebook.
Perhaps I need to work on my crazy-idea-to-follow-through ratio.
Yet, dear readers, you might be happy (impressed? entertained? shocked?) to hear that my agent requested to see my crazy doodle of an outline. We’ll see if she still thinks I’m moderately sane next week, I suppose. (PS, shout out to Agent Christina. I heart you!)
